Medway Mediation Service

Welcome to the MVA and Medway Mediation’s new service.

Our Mediation service was re-launched in June 2018 to help ensure Medway residents can access local mediation support.

What is mediation support?

Mediation is a way of resolving disputes between two or more parties. A third party, the mediator, assists the parties to negotiate their own settlement or resolution.

Mediators are impartial and use various techniques to open, or improve, dialogue between disputants, aiming to help the parties reach an agreement on the disputed matter.

Mediation can be used in a variety of disputes, such as commercial, legal, diplomatic, workplace, community and family matters.

Here’s how community mediation works.

What can I do if I need support?

Our mediation service is currently taking referrals for support from MHS Homes. If you feel that you have a neighbourhood dispute and are a MHS Homes resident, then please contact your local housing officer to request a referral to our mediation service
