A New Five Year Strategy and Launch of New Funding – Recent Announcements from The King’s Fund

04-Feb-2020

The King’s Fund has recently launched a plan to benefit the health sector, and also announced a funding stream designed to encourage better working relationships between charity sector and local authority.

The King’s Fund recently announced a new strategy which focuses on three priorities:

  • Building healthier places and communities
  • Tackling the worst health outcomes, and
  • Supporting people and leaders working in health and care.

To coincide with their new five-year strategy, the Kings Fund has also launched a major new partnership with The National Lottery Community Fund.

The Healthy Communities Together Programme will see up to £3 million of funding plus additional support, coaching and facilitation to help develop more effective partnerships between voluntary sector organisations and the NHS and local authorities in their area.

The programme intends to combine the health, care and leadership expertise of The King’s Fund with grant funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.
