31-Jul-2018
Do you think a child you know may be involved in selling drugs or other types of criminal activity?
Have you seen a change in behaviour recently and don’t understand why?
It important to know that you are not alone and you are not to blame.
There are many parents and carers in similar situations and there are things you can do to help protect your child.
The Medway Safeguarding Children Board (MSCB) is providing resources and guidance for understanding the signs of criminal exploitation and advice on how you can help.
The guidance was produced by The Children's Society, a national charity that works with the country's most vulnerable children and young people in various areas of support; from providing access to mental health support and supporting young carers, through to ending child poverty and preventing child exploitation.
The guidance is available to download for parents and carers on the MSCB website. The information is also available in various languages including Arabic, Bengali, Polish and Somali.
Further information can also be found on The Children’s Society website.
