Children, Young People & Families Theme from Kent Community Foundation

12-May-2017

Kent Community Foundation (KCF) continues to provide funding for local projects that are making a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in Kent and Medway.

The Foundation recognise that every child deserves a safe and happy start in life that gives them the best possible chance of developing into a mature, well-rounded adult and reaching their full potential.

But the Foundation also see there are children and young people in Kent today who face challenges which put them at risk of missing out on the kinds of activities and support other children take for granted in their early years.

Grants of up to £5,000 are available for projects that are working to support disadvantaged young people. This can include: living in poverty or deprivation, abuse or neglect, disability, young carers, children in care, bereavement, mental health issues, disability, low aspiration, or even poor achievement.

The deadline for this season is 26th May 2017, with further dates to be announced later this year.

For more information and how to apply, visit the KCF website.
