Counselling Skills For Non Counsellors – a Course from Relate

Relate, providers of relationship support and mediation in and around London and the South East, are hosting a course which offers learners a chance to develop the counselling skills of communication and empathy in a straightforward and practical way.

Knowledge of counselling skills can sometimes really help in daily life. This can be for knowing how to support friends, or to cope with difficult relationships; or for use professionally by those that work in management, healthcare, human resources, education; even in one of the many social enterprise, statutory or voluntary organisations.

Arranged and run by Relate, the course is available to anyone looking to develop their communication skills for work, including those wanting to be more effective in interviews. Relate advise the course could also be helpful to those working with families and vulnerable people in the community.

Do you work in a supportive role?

Are you required to offer emotional support to others, discuss sensitive issues or have difficult conversations?

Relate advise they can help you to develop useful counselling skills, interview management techniques and enable positive change.

The course is being held at Kingsley House, 37-39 Balmoral Road, Gillingham ME7 4PF, and will run across 3 Fridays starting on 15th September 2017.

If you would like to know more, you can call Lynne Murphy, Training Development Manager, at Relate on 01302 347749 or email her on
