Employability Workshop in Gillingham – July 2017



Community Resources Centre in Gillingham are hosting a series of workshops designed to help people find, apply for and secure jobs and work placements.

A 6 week programme, hosted by the Community Resource Centre, is designed for individuals looking to increase their chances of gaining suitable paid employment.

The workshops will look to help people convey their strengths, skills and achievements; which is important in every stage of the recruitment process.

Some of the topics would include:

Vacancies & job search strategies

Advice on being positive in tracking down the best opportunities.

CV & cover letter

Attendee would be shown how to best sell their skills, knowledge, experience and achievements to create a winning CV and write an effective, tailored cover letter.

Interviews - Preparation is vital

How to research and what to expect for an interview; attendees should also be taken through common competency-based interview questions.
