Enabling People to Help Themselves - Connect 5 Well-being Training from NKTS, February 2019

NKTS, the training arm of MVA, are offering Medway VCS Services free access to mental well-being training that will help to make ‘every contact count’.

NKTS are now delivering Connect 5 Mental Well-being training across the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) in Medway.

Connect 5 is strengthened by the principle of bringing conversations about mental well-being into everyday practice and empowering people to change and improve their mental well-being.

This half-day course aims to provide attendees with the skills, competencies and confidence required to hold conversations about health and wellbeing in their routine practice; as well as help them to become more effective in helping people to manage mental health problems and increase their resilience and mental well-being through positive changes.

Attendees will be able to develop their core understanding of mental health, mental well-being and how to signpost to local services and resources to allow people to help themselves.

Launching this February, the first session will be held at MVA 5A New Rd Ave Chatham ME4 6BB on Wednesday 20th February 2019, with further dates to be announced.

For more details and how to apply, visit the NKTS website.
