For Now and the Future - Grants Available from Ibrahim Foundation

04-Dec-2019

The Ibrahim Foundation continues its call for grant applications from organisations which aim to improve the quality of life for local people and communities.

The Ibrahim foundation has always believed in the need to support and maintain a free, stable and socially cohesive society, where enterprise is encouraged and people are able to realise their potential, take advantage of opportunities and play their part in democratic life.

The Foundation will often consider work which others may find hard to fund, perhaps because it breaks new ground, appears too risky, requires core funding, or needs a more unusual form of financial help such as a loan.

Grants of up to £10,000 are available from the Foundation to organisations which aim to improve the quality of life for people and communities in the UK, for now and the future. The Foundation says extraordinary projects may receive grants up to £50,000: They believe in those on the front lines in the community, who would best understand the particular needs, and so these groups know where grants would be of most benefit.

The Foundation does not have areas of focus in grant making, and says they look for situations where small amounts of funds will have the best impact; however they are particularly interested in applications that address:

  • Community Building
  • Strengthening Non-profits
  • Environment and
  • Supporting Families.

Because the Grants scheme is a continuous rolling programme; there is no deadline and so applications can be accepted at any time.
