Friendship, Guidance, Support – Introducing Safe Space 4 Black Women
21-Sep-2020
Leyla Hussein, founder of the Dahlia Project which campaigns to end FGM, has created Safe Space 4 Black women.
Leyla’s Safe Space 4 Black Women sessions came about after she was contacted by many black women asking for emotional help and support.
In some communities there are those that don’t understand the struggles faced by black women – or they aren’t willing to understand. So it’s important to have a safe space for black women to go to where they can meet up with like-minded black women, who have had similar experiences and where they can also go for support.
If you are interested in joining future sessions, Leyla asks that you register your details using this online form, or visit the website for more information.
