Funding Round-Up – COVID-19, September 2020



In its on-going efforts to support VCS in Medway, MVA’s round up of funding opportunities from local and national organisations is mainly focused on helping charities continue their work in light of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Due to the varying nature and progress of the pandemic, MVA do advise that some of the information below may have changed since the time of its issue, and ask that readers please check each organisation’s website for the latest information.

COVID Recovery Fund from Lloyd's Bank Foundation

Aimed at supporting charities to recover beyond the immediate crisis, this £7.4 million COVID fund can offer charities a two-year unrestricted grant of £50,000 alongside a Development Partner to help charities navigate these irregular and volatile times.

Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage

This Fund will support organisations across the heritage sector that were financially sustainable before COVID-19, but have exhausted all other financing options, and are now at risk of failure. Grants from £10,000 to £3 million are available.

Common Call COVID Fund

Grants between £1,000 to £3,000 and 1 year of support are available to Black-led social impact organisations.

The RAFT Transition Fund from The Fore

Offering unrestricted grants of up to £15,000, The Fore’s RAFT Transition Fund is looks to support small charities and social enterprises plan for the longer term, to gain a stronger stature and foothold in the ‘new normal’ of a COVID-19 setting.

Launched recently, the application deadline for organisations is 5pm on 7th September 2020, with further dates to be announced later in the season.

Barrow Cadbury Trust Covid-19 Support Fund

Partnering with the National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF), Barrow Cadbury Trust is offering Covid-19 emergency response funding to the migration charity sector in England.

Resilience Funding from Youth Futures Foundation

Aimed at registered charities similar groups, the Foundation are looking to support frontline organisations in England who are working to improve the life chances and career prospects of young people aged 14 to 24.

RELAUNCHING - National Lottery Social Enterprise Support Fund

Delivered by five social enterprise support agencies, and made possible thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund, the Social Enterprise Support Fund will be relaunching its call for applications to provide grants to support social enterprises during COVID-19.
