Funding Round-up - Imminent Application Deadlines, October 2020

Here is a collection of last-minute funding rounds from local and national organisations - take a quick look in case there is an opportunity you don't want to miss out on.

Due to the varying nature and progress of the pandemic, MVA do advise that some of the information below may have changed since the time of its issue, and ask that readers please check each organisation’s website for the latest information.

Golsoncott Foundation  

The Golsoncott Foundation aims to promote, maintain, improve and advance the education of the public in the arts generally and in particular the fine arts and music.

This includes providing access to the arts for young people and developing new audiences.

Deadline for applications is 31st October 2020.

Concertina 

Concertina makes grants to charitable bodies which provide musical entertainment and related activities for the elderly.

This not only brightens up their lives, but also provides a therapeutic benefit to their health and well-being.

School Grants Scheme from Institute of Physics  

Schools, colleges and home school groups based in the UK and Ireland can apply for a school grant of up to £600 for projects, events and activities that promote a greater interest in physics and engineering in young people.

The Kids Fund Field Studies Council (FSC) 

The Kids Fund aims to bring environmental understanding to disadvantaged young people by attending a course at an FSC centre and help disadvantaged young people to attend a course who may otherwise be excluded due to some form of disadvantage - health, mobility, deprivation or financial.

Deadline for applications is 1st November 2020.

Momentum Music Fund from PRS Foundation 

The Momentum Music Fund offers grants of £5k-£15k for UK based artists and bands to break through to the next level of their careers.

Activities eligible for support include recording, touring and marketing.

At the time of writing, the National Lottery Arts Council recently announced their Developing your Creative Practice programme (DYCP) is open for applications.

From October 2020 to October 2021, DYCP is investing £18 million of Lottery funding spread over four rounds. With grants of up to £10,000, the fund supports creative practitioners thinking of taking their practice to the next stage to research, have time to create new work, travel, training, develop ideas, network or find mentoring.

This round’s deadline for applications is midday on Thursday 5th November 2020 with further dates to be announced later in the season.
