Further Safeguarding Taster Sessions from the Medway Safeguarding Children Board

Medway Safeguarding Children Board (MSCB) announces places available for the Impact of Parental Mental Health on Wednesday 28th June 2017, 2.00pm till 4.00pm at Gun Wharf.

Understand the effects that parental mental health may have upon the children in the family is important.

Not all parents and children will need the support of health and social care, but those that do have the right to get support that is acceptable, accessible and effective for the whole family.

The session is to raise awareness around the impact of parental mental health on parenting and consider the impact such health may have on the life of a child.

This session is aimed at frontline practitioners working with children and their families where mental health is a concern.

This session will be facilitated by South London and Maudsley NHS trust (SLAM) and Kent & Medway NHS Trust's Mother and Infant Mental Health Service (MIMHS)
