Future Integrated Care, Library Services and FREE Online Event – News Round-up from King’s Fund

14-Jan-2021

The team at MVA have compiled a round-up of helpful news and events from national charity The King’s Fund.

Study of the Next Steps towards Integrated Care

In November of last year, NHS England and NHS Improvement published an extensive paper which aimed to provide an updated model for the health and care systems across England.

The publication was designed to set out the next steps towards integrated care, continuing a journey the NHS has been on for many years and to reflect what had been expressed in the NHS Long Term Plan.

It also aimed to set out options for legislative change. In both cases NHS England and NHS Improvement are looking to build on progress already made by the NHS and its partners in working together to integrate services, especially in light of Covid-19 pandemic.

The King’s Fund explores this paper, setting out some of the cross-cutting themes within it and describes the associated proposals for legislative change, and concludes by looking at some of the remaining questions that would decide how this proposed package will work.

To find out more about their initial assessment of these changes, visit The King’s Fund website.

What The King’s Fund library service can do for you in 2021

As a think tank offering independent views on health and social care, and as part of their consultancy support, the Kings Fund remind readers that they have an extensive Library Service, bringing together a collection of health policy and management resources, including major journals and magazines. Expert advice and support is also made available from their team of information specialists.

ONLINE EVENT - What's in store for Health and Care, Thursday 28th January 2021

It can be said that the pandemic has sped up the adoption of digital health and virtual care into conventional life by a good few years, with the industry having to embrace areas like telehealth, remote monitoring, and the use of artificial intelligence or expert systems almost overnight.

It could also be said that this could cause disruptive changes that could impact the technology market – As an example, there may be an anticipated flood of communication and collaboration tools forecast for 2021.

The King’s Fund look to explore this in a FREE online event, aimed at offering an insight into the wider UK health and care landscape in 2021. They will also look to explore how recent trends, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and future developments could affect people working in the sector, patients and the wider population.

This FREE online event will take place on Thursday 28th January 2021, from 10:00am till 11:00am

For more information and to book your FREE place, visit the King’s Fund website.
