Do your service users want their say - Medway 5 GP sites engagement

The Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group are making plans for the future of services at local GP sites and need your help to find out what matters most to your service users about them.

The Kent and Medway NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) recently launched some engagement around the future of five GP sites in Medway.

They want to know the views of patients registered at the following locations:

  • St Mary’s Island Surgery, Chatham
  • Green Suite at Balmoral Gardens Healthy Living Centre, Gillingham
  • Twydall Clinic, Twydall
  • Pentagon Centre (Boots), Chatham, and
  • Sunlight Centre Surgery, Gillingham

These surgeries are currently being run by Medway Practices Alliance (MPA), the GP federation that brings together practices and GPs from across Medway to provide quality healthcare.

MPA will be looking after these services until September 2021. In the meantime the CCG needs to make some decisions about the longer term future for these practices.

The CCG want to find out what is important to patients and how their needs may have changed due to Covid-19; and have written to every registered patient with these practices encouraging them to complete a survey, as well as inviting them to a FREE online meeting with Bill Millar, the director of Primary Care at the CCG.

The survey can be found at the SurveyMonkey portal from the Kent and Medway CCG. If you cannot complete the survey online, CCG says you can also call 07767 004213 to request a hard copy or to conduct the survey over the phone.

You can also run a focus group session to capture the views of your service users, as part of Involving Medway programme, and earn up to £150 per session held. For further details please contact: or watch this short film from MVA.

The CCG ask that patients registered at these practices complete a survey by 10th December 2020; they are also inviting them to attend one of two virtual public meetings on 1st and 2nd December 2020.
