Latest News from Medway Safeguarding Children Board – March 2019

21-Mar-2019

Medway Safeguarding Children Board (MSCB) has recently released their March Bulletin, providing news of the work and events within MSCB.

Based in Chatham, Medway Safeguarding Children Board (MSCB) is the statutory multi-agency organisation that works to help make sure that children are safeguarded properly by agencies working effectively together.

Their membership includes senior representatives from Medway Council, all Medway health bodies, Kent Police, Medway schools, voluntary organisations, and many others.

They have recently published their latest issue of their MSCB Bulletin, which showcases the work and events within The Board.

Highlights include details about the Consultation Line from Medway Young Persons’ Wellbeing Service (YPWS). Designed for professionals from Child Health and Education who are working with children and young people in Medway, this dedicated line is available to provide various forms of advice, guidance and support options aimed at helping young people to meet their own goals.

Launched recently, Medway YPWS advise the line is available on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month between 2pm and 4pm.

The bulletin also headlines the Be Yourself Programme being delivered by Medway Youth Services. Be Yourself is a FREE personal development programme for young people aged 16-21, it is designed around activities that align with young people’s interests, passions and needs.

Further details can be found by contacting Helen Elstone, the programme’s Youth Development Worker, by email at helen.elstone@medway.gov.uk.

The March Bulletin for 2019, as well as previous issues, should be available to download NOW from the MSCB website.
