Making Sure No-One gets Left Behind - Pioneer Grants from The Elton John AIDS Foundation

Interested groups are advised the application deadline for this season is fast approaching for Pioneer Grants from The Elton John AIDS Foundation.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation work to create an AIDS free future for everybody in this world. The foundation provides funding to programs that help to:

  • Alleviate the physical, emotional or financial pain of people living with, affected by or at risk of HIV/AIDS
  • Continue the fight against HIV/AIDS so that no one is left behind

The Foundation’s Pioneer Grant support a specific initiatives focusing on an individual key population at higher risk – such as men who have sex with men (MSM), sex workers and injecting drug users – within an individual country.

The Foundation welcomes applications from registered not-for-profit organisations and charitable groups in the UK that are involved in creating initiatives which focus on HIV prevention in high risk communities.

At the time of writing, the Foundation is particularly interested in proposals from organisations working with sex workers, people who use drugs and prison populations; and that applicants are able to show that they can track changes such as HIV testing and treatment of people who would benefit from their programme.

The deadline for this season is 6pm on 21st August 2017.
