MVA VCS COVID-19 Survey. The Results are in!

MVA have now published a report with findings on following a survey they conducted over a 6 week period at the start of the Covid-19 crisis. The survey was launched to ascertain the impact of Covid-19 on the Voluntary and Community Sector and to gain an understanding of the experiences of organisations delivering to Medway communities.

They obtained some stark messages:

  • Many organisations were experiencing significant financial hardship, some were already closed
  • The demand on some organisations was overwhelming
  • Whilst some organisations were able to adapt their delivery model to remote/online services, others lacked the financial or experiential ability
  • Those that have/will survive the crisis have achieved more to support Medway people than ever experienced before

They have also produced an infographic on some of the achievements made by the Voluntary and Community sector during that time. They state it has been gratifying to work closely with Medway Council and NHS colleagues during this period.
