National Churches Trust Grant Programme

27-Jun-2017

Applications are still being taken for the National Churches Trust Grant Programmes which are available for this season.

Started in 2007, The National Churches Trust is the national, independent, charity dedicated to promoting and supporting church buildings of historic, architectural and community value across the UK.

They provide grants to help maintain the UK's heritage of church buildings and to enhance their ability to serve local communities.

There are currently two programmes available this season:

Community Grants

Funding of between £5,000 and £20,000 is available for projects having an estimated cost of £25,000 or less. The grants are to be used for projects which introduce facilities to enable increased community use of places of worship.

Repair Grants

Funding of up to £40,000 is available towards the cost of urgent and essential structural repair pro-jects with costs of at least £100,000.

In addition there are micro grants of £2,000 for churches awarded a National Churches Trust Community Grant to set up a social action project that meets the needs of local people.

The deadline for applications for this season is 3rd July 2017, with further dates to be announced later on.
