Pocket Parks Plus - Government Funding Available to Establish a New or Refurbish a Local Green Space

The Government are providing funding for community groups interested in establishing a new pocket park or refurbishing an existing park.

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) is providing a £1 Million fund to support the development of new pocket parks and to refurbish existing parks that have fallen into disrepair where their restoration could have a significant positive impact on the local community and address a specific local need.

The Pocket Parks Plus programme provides grants to community-led bodies working in partnership with their local authority that intend to create new pocket parks or to bring existing green spaces up to a safe, usable standard, as well as make long-term support available for those enterprises.

MHCLG ask that completed applications be sent by email to

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 25th January 2019.
