Postcode Dream Fund 2018 Closing Soon for Applications

Charities are reminded that applications are due in shortly for the annual Postcode Lottery Dream Fund.

The Dream Fund was created to encourage charities to join together and apply for their dream project: The project they have always wanted to deliver but never had the opportunity to do so.

The Fund supports charities to provide ground-breaking or pioneering solutions to society’s most challenging problems.

Applications that are original, ambitious and show engage of community have a better chance of being successful.

For this year, the fund will offer a total award fund of £3 million for charitable organisations to deliver their ‘dream’ project in one or more areas in Great Britain in 2018-2020.

Charities can apply for grants of between £500,000 and £1 million to deliver a project 24 months in length.

To qualify, the project should be inventive, imaginative and artistic, and original. It should be a genuine dream:

Something that the group had always wanted to do but never had the funding to make it a reality. The project should also deliver a lasting impact and involve the wider public.

For this year, there are five new themes:

  • Supporting families
  • Green communities
  • Young people
  • Improving people's lives through animals

The Dream Fund is keen to hear from not-for-profit organisations that work together to provide a more effective and wide ranging project.

Applications have to come from at least two organisations, where the lead organisation must be a registered charity.

The other partners can be charities, voluntary groups, community interest companies, universities or other not-for-profit organisations.

Running as a three-stage application process, the Trust advise that the deadline for “Stage 1” Applications is 5.30pm on 22nd August 2016.
