Project Viability Grants from Architectural Heritage Fund

The Architectural Heritage Fund continues their call for applications to provide funding to help with restoration studies and assessment for historic buildings in the UK.

The Architectural Heritage Fund (AHF) work to make sure as many people as possible can enjoy the cultural, social and economic benefits of a vibrant and well-managed architectural heritage. Part of how they do this is through providing advice, information and financial assistance in the form of early project grants and loans for projects undertaken by charities and not-for-private profit organisations.

Grants of up to £7,500 are available for charities and social enterprises to carry out an initial assessment of whether it is viable to bring a historic building in the UK back into a sustainable use.

AHF say the grants are for project development costs only and not for on-site capital works, and that the funding is available for any work that is essential for taking the project forward towards the goal of revitalising an historic building.

Because the scheme can be seen as a continuous rolling programme; there is no deadline and so applications can be accepted at any time.

For more information  and how to apply , visit the AHF website.
