Quick tips for earning income in January
16-Dec-2019
In the absence of finding a money tree in 2020, here are 2 quick tips from MVA for income generating opportunities in January...
As part of the Involving
Medway programme, Medway CCG has agreed to fund a new ‘VCS Focus Group’ model of engagement that allows local voluntary and community groups to get
their service users’ voices heard – whilst recognising the costs incurred by the sector to make engagement activities happen. This means that if you
deliver a focus group session on behalf of the Involving Medway programme you can receive a payment between £100 and £150, depending on the number
of participants.
So if you, or someone you know, organises or leads a group activity then you simply need to train as a facilitator (the training is online and takes about
60-90 minutes to complete), and then you can run a focus group session during/after that group session and earn between £100-£150.
To find out more about this opportunity click here, and to register your interest in participating in this initiative please contact MVA on 01634 812850
or email: involvingmedway@mva.org.uk. We will then send you a link for the online training and an invitation to attend a research briefing session.

Involving Medway's Community Small Grants programme is currently open and closes for applications on 31st January 2020. You can apply for a grant of up to £2,500 for a community-focused project that promotes better physical or mental health. For full details of the funding criteria and how to apply click here. If you need to discuss the grants programme in more detail you can contact Kent Community Foundation at bruce@kentcf.org.uk.
Why not give both of these ideas a try - maybe you can kick start 2020 with a little extra funding to help with your plans for the year? |

Medway Time Credits - a scheme recognising volunteering and social action where people earn Time Credits for giving their time to support
local organisations or groups and can spend them on a wide range of activities locally and across a national network. To learn more about Time Credits
