Raise Awareness by Raising a Cuppa – The Big Tea Returns to Medway Hospital, 5th July 201924-Jun-2019
Following the success of last year’s BIG7TEA campaign, The Medway Hospital Charity is asking local residents to raise a cuppa to celebrate the NHS.
The NHS Big Tea is a chance for people up and down the country to come together and celebrate the NHS. And what better way to do this than with a cup of tea!
The humble cup of tea has a long and proud connection with the NHS, as it was originally served to patients in traditional fine cups with saucers and side spoon. Tea was often considered an important aspect of patient satisfaction and patient recovery.
Many patients enjoy tea in NHS hospitals, clinics and GP surgeries every day. Tea brings us all together.
So, the Medway Hospital Charity are calling on the local community to get friends, get family or colleagues together for a tea party on or around 5th July 2019 (whichever day suits you best); to celebrate the NHS' birthday and raise funds that make a real difference for local patients.
NHS Medway has provided a FREE-to-download NHS Big Tea pack to help organisers host their own tea party to mark the occasion and support the vital work of The Medway Hospital Charity.
For more information, or if you would like help with your party, you can call The Medway Hospital Charity on 01634 825398 (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm). You can also email the Charity at Medwayft.firstname.lastname@example.org.
