03-Aug-2017

August sees a new exhibition to be held at Sun Pier House Gallery, Sun Pier, Chatham, aimed at encouraging understanding of and support for invisible illness.

Entitled ‘SICK!’, part of a project funded by Arts Council England and Medway Council Arts Team, the exhibition will run from 5th to 27th August 2017 and is based around invisible illness and invisible disability.

The exhibition will showcase a series of work by twelve handpicked artists who are affected by invisible chronic health conditions. The work will cover a diverse range of conditions; from bipolar to colitis, from dementia to hypermobility.

The exhibition is launching with an opening night celebration private viewing of the artwork on Friday 4th August 2017, from 6pm till 8pm.

If you would like to attend, or to find out more about SICK!, contact Zara Carpenter, the Exhibition Curator and Organiser, through the exhibition’s Facebook Page, or you can email her at zaracarpenter@gmail.com .
