The Aspirations Project from North Kent Mind25-Jul-2017
North Kent Mind has recently announced they will be delivering The Aspirations Project, a
scheme aimed at supporting people to become less socially isolated.
North Kent Mind is an independent mental health charity who provides a range of services for people who experience mental health problems. They can work with people individually or in small or large groups.
Their services extend from supported housing and low cost counselling; through to self-management courses, peer-led activities and open sessions.
They work closely with other local organisations, and are supported in their activities by a network of paid staff, trained volunteers, student social workers and on-site trainee mental health nurses.
Made possible by the Building Better Opportunities grant from the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund, the aim of The Aspirations Project is to support people to access services in the area and gain new skills to empower them to be able to become less socially isolated.
This new service is for people who have Mental Health difficulties, and the support offered will be tailored around their individual support requirements.
North Kent Mind advises they would support clients to manage their circumstances and Mental Health to enable them to regain their independence.
If you are not working and feel as though you are living with a Mental Health condition, or that life is getting on top of you, North Kent Mind assure their free Aspirations service can provide support; they would help clients regain independence and live a life where Mental Health or negative feelings would not stand in the way.
North Kent Mind says the Aspirations project can help individuals to rediscover their confidence, find ways to cope with their Mental Health and wellbeing, and support individuals to gain work, volunteering or education opportunities.
