The Environment Now - Using Technology to Save the Planet

30-Jun-2017

Applications are being taken from young people with innovative digital ideas to help the environment.

National Youth Agency, in partnership with O2 Think Big, has recently launched an essential programme aimed at 17-24 year olds in the UK. The Environment Now (TEN) programme is funded by O2 and the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund as part of the Our Bright Future programme, and looks to provide young people with a grant for up to £10,000 to use digital technology to find inventive and advanced solutions to pressing environmental issues.

The programme looks to offer grants to young people with original ideas to help the environment, this can include help to improve on energy efficiency, reducing waste, or recycling; and will offer mentoring, work experience and insight sessions with industry professionals to help bring their ideas to life.

The next deadline for shortlisting applications this season is 14th July 2017, with further dates to be announced later.

For more information and how to apply, visit programme website.
