Help to Continue Delivering Essential Services - COVID-19 Digital Response Fund

26-Aug-2020

Help is now available to charities and other organisations whose operations have been affected by COVID-19 and need immediate funding to deliver essential digital services.

The Catalyst and The National Lottery Community Fund COVID-19 Digital Response is aimed at organisations whose work has been affected by COVID-19 and who need emergency funding to continue to deliver essential services.

Being delivered by The National Lottery Community Fund and Centre for the Acceleration of Social Technology (CAST), the funding will support applicants to develop the digital, data and design capabilities that allow them to respond to important issues and capabilities that can serve the most vulnerable. Funding will be given as a mix of grants and expert support, ranging from £5,000 up to £60,000.

The funders are aware that the most effective digital projects start with an exploration phase, where organisations examine and realise a problem area by engaging directly with the people affected by that problem, before moving onto developing and testing those solutions.

There are TWO funding streams to support this process:

The Discovery Programme

Designed to assist with the exploration phase for charities nearer the start of their digital journey, this programme is a learning and development opportunity for charities and similar organisations looking to progress their digital ambitions.

Launched recently, the deadline for applications is 5pm on 7th September 2020.

The Development Programme

Intended for organisations at a more advanced stage, and can show they have already been through a Discovery process and can move directly to Development.

Launched recently, the deadline for applications is 5pm on 20th September 2020.
