Towards a Dementia Friendly Cathedral – Tea and Cake Day at Rochester Cathedral

01-Sep-2017

Rochester Cathedral will be holding a Tea and Cake Day at the Cathedral in September, and are inviting people with dementia and their families to join them for tea and cakes, to have a look round and take part in Evensong.

Rochester Cathedral would value ideas to make sure they are a dementia friendly place to visit and are using this event to consult guests on their future plans.

The Anna Chaplaincy at the Cathedral is eager to gather the view of people in Medway so that they can work towards ensuring everything they do is welcoming and inclusive of people with dementia.

The Cathedral already has held several Dementia Friends sessions and this will continue as a regular part of their in-house training for staff and volunteers.

The Tea and Cake Day will be at the Cathedral on Saturday 2 September starting at 2pm.

For more information or to attend this event, call Chris Bostock, Anna Chaplain at the Cathedral, on 07563059756. You can also email at annachaplain84@gmail.com.
