Train the Trainer – Free Course for Healthcare Professionals from Medway NHS

Medway Public Health Team is currently taking requests for places to their FREE Connect 5 ‘Train the Trainer’ course to be held in June.

Designed to prepare course attendees with knowledge and skills to provide brief mental wellbeing interventions, Connect 5 is modular training course that is designed to increase the confidence and skills of frontline staff to have effective conversations about mental wellbeing with adults.

The sessions may be practical and interactive, and can involve presentation, group discussion, small group work and exercises in pairs.

The focus of Connect 5 training is to enable the course attendees to feel more confident and skilled to work collaboratively with individual adults, so that they can help them improve their mental wellbeing.

Medway Public Health Team is pleased to be able to invite expressions of interest for a small number of fully funded places on their Connect 5 ‘Train the Trainer’ course. Funding for this project has been obtained from Health Education England through the Kent and Medway Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP).

This Connect 5 ‘Train the Trainer’ course will run across 4 and half days in June and will be held in Medway. The Public Health Team ask that eligible nominees agree to a minimum number of cascade sessions within their workforce, as well as take part in a follow up evaluation process.

The Medway Public Health Team says that spaces on this course are very limited and that nominations will be selected against the project criteria, they also ask that Expressions of Interest be submitted to the Team by Monday 16th April 2018.
