Universal Credit Full Service Launch Event – October 201725-Sep-2017
Jobcentre Plus will be hosting a meeting this coming October to introduce and raise awareness about the Universal Credit full service officially launching
February 2018 will see the launch of the Universal Credit full service being rolled out in the Chatham Jobcentre Plus (Chatham JCP) area.
Universal Credit (UC) is a single monthly payment for people in or out of work. It replaces some of the benefits and tax credits that people can claim for, including:
- Housing benefit
- Child tax credit
- Income support
- Working tax credit
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance.
UC full service will be available to all claimant types that are in and out of work such as, families, single parents, carers and those with certain health conditions.
If you work with people who may be affected by this; before the launch of the full service, Chatham JCP are holding an introductory meeting to help raise the awareness for claimants and the organisations that support them. Attendees will also get the opportunity to raise any questions about the UC full service and how their clients may be affected.
Universal Credit full service is scheduled to be rolled out in the Chatham JCP area on Wednesday 21st February 2018.
