Updated Furlough details from NCVO to Compliment Government Guidance, August 2020

05-Aug-2020

National organisation NCVO has recently updated it’s guidance about Annual leave and Furlough, helping charities make the right choices in light of the pandemic.

The Government recently made clear any issues relating to the furlough and holiday pay scheme with in the guidance that was published in May by the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (DBEIS), where they finally confirmed that furloughed workers could take annual leave without breaking furlough.

Saying that, many questions remain about whether an employer could require staff to take holiday, and the status of temporary and agency staff was also still unclear.

National organisation NCVO has recently updated its own guidance on protecting and supporting the people working in charitable organisations in light of the coronavirus outbreak, made available through their exclusive Knowhow web section.

Designed to help you take the right actions for you and your charity during the pandemic, their updated section about Annual leave and Furlough clearly outlines the Government’s guidance as easy-to-follow points.
