Vacancy – Centre Manager for Castle Connections



Applications are currently being taken for the position of Centre Manager for the Castle Connections Community and Arts Centre in Queenborough.

Castle Connections offers a range of services and activities which look to improve the quality of life for local people. They do this by delivering services and activities that provide a range of educational, recreational, cultural and social opportunities.

From Castle Connections’ Community Café, to their Arts & Crafts Class, they are at a stage of growth and development in our endeavours to adapt to the changing needs of our local community.

Castle Connections are looking for a Centre Manager to develop the centre and take it successfully forward in serving the community.

Based mainly at their Community Centre in Queenborough, they will look after the day to day running of the centre, making sure each part of the centre; including the café, arts and studio halls, abides by the operations standards, procedures and best practice of the Centre.

Answering to the Board of Trustees for the Queenborough Town Community Centre, other duties will include supervising support staff and volunteers, setting targets and providing encouragement and performance monitoring, as well as performing skills audits and arrange suitable workforce opportunities where necessary.

You will have experience of working experience and ability to prioritise and manage a varying workload and coordinating multiple services; as well as a proven skill-set to deal sensitively and appropriately with a range of complex and challenging issues presented by centre users.

This is would be a rewarding opportunity for someone who has worked directly with community groups, whether in a paid or voluntary capacity, and managing and developing community services, projects, or activities.
