is currently taking applications for a Development Manager position with their organisation.
Kent Community Foundation (KCF) is part of a national network of 46 Community Foundations committed to improving the lives of local people and communities, particularly the most vulnerable, isolated and disadvantaged.
As a professional grant making organisation, the role of the foundation is to encourage and support the sector by providing expert advice and guidance to organisations who apply to them for funding.
In 2016, the foundation made well over 300 grants totalling in-excess of £1.5 million to voluntary organisations in Kent and Medway.
This charity, which has seen its size advance greatly over the past couple of years, is seeking an experienced major donor or corporate fundraiser for maternity cover to start as soon as possible.
Based at Smeeth near Ashford and answering to the Chief Executive for the Foundation, the main purpose of the Development Manager is to secure new fund holders to the Foundation through various activities; this can include specialist networking and engagement events.
The candidate will be joining a team of dedicated professionals all working to make a real difference to people’s lives in the Kent and Medway area.
This would be rewarding position for someone familiar with fundraising strategy and approaches, good knowledge of voluntary and community sector in Kent and Medway; and experience of working with high-net-worth individuals.
