Applications are now being taken for their Event and Fundraising Officer vacancy now available with the KM Charity Team.
Started over 15 years ago, The Kent and Medway Charity Team were founded with the intention of supporting and promoting green travel to school, as well as health and wellbeing initiatives.
Today green travel to school and children’s health and wellbeing is still part of the charity’s activities, but now it has a widened its interests to deliver other services to support schools, and also to give support to PTA groups and charities to support their fundraising.
They work alongside the KM Group, Kent’s biggest multi-media publisher, to support the organisation’s charitable work whenever the purposes of the two organisations are shared.
Together they are working to make a real difference to the lives of people in Kent.
The role with the KM Charity Team is for a part-time Event and Fundraising Officer, working alongside their friendly supportive team, to develop their school based and community fundraising events.
Based in Whitstable, you will excellent presentation and communication skills; the job will be varied with the post holder taking on wide range of event management and fundraising tasks, as well as keeping in contact with partners to stage high profile events, such staging the Annual KM Big Bike Ride, KM Bright Spark Awards and Kent Cooks / Kent Cooks Professionals.
The KM Charity Team are especially interested to hear from people with experience in either marketing, running a community cause or charitable fund-raising.
This is a great and exciting opportunity for applicants that have a good understanding of people, as well as an enthusiasm and motivation to champion a high-profile and well respected charitable initiative.
The successful applicants must have a CRB/DBS check, which the Charity will organise.
