Kent Community Foundation is currently taking applications for Grants Administrator and Funding Manager positions with their organisation.
Kent Community Foundation (KCF) is part of a national network of 46 Community Foundations committed to improving the lives of local people and communities, particularly the most vulnerable, isolated and disadvantaged.
The Foundation has two positions available based at their offices in Ashford.
As the Foundation’s Grants Administrator, you will help in the day to day operation of KCF, making sure it continues to meet local community need and the requirements and wishes of KCF’s donors and funders.
Your duties would mainly be in the administration for allocated applications & funds, which will include the maintenance of their database including data entry and running of reports, and assisting with the charity’s events, and other tasks as directed by the Fund Manager.
KCF are looking for someone who has confident IT and New Technology skills, with an understanding of databases; Good communication and interpersonal skills; an ability to work within a small team; with a flexible, positive approach and attention to detail.
This would be rewarding position for someone familiar with the voluntary and community sector in Kent and Medway and experience of working in a customer facing role with a compassionate approach to others.
The Funds Manager would look after and develop relationships with KCF donors and fund-holders, as well as support their grant-making strategies.
Answering to the Grants and Impact Director, they would engage with the local community to develop a pipeline of suitable grant applications to meet the requirement of KCF various funds; they would also have to be thorough with assessments of project proposals and presenting to grant panels for decision.
Amongst other duties, they would be responsible for maintaining and developing the Foundation’s knowledgebase on social issues that currently affect the local community, as well as the role of community action and philanthropy, which address community need and creates opportunity.
This would be a rewarding position for someone has experience of working with clients in an advisory or consultancy role, as well as good working knowledge of philanthropic grant-making or social lending.
