You're Invited! MVA AGM and Volunteering Summit - 'Opening Doors'

This is your invitation to Medway Voluntary Action's 'Opening Doors' Volunteering Summit and AGM 2018
Tuesday 20th November 2018
The event will take place at: mhs homes, Leviathan Way, Chatham ME4 4LL
The theme for the Volunteering Summit is 'Opening Doors' and aims to bring the VCS together to act as a task force to collectively tackling barriers to volunteering for groups of people recognised as being at high risk of loneliness. The three groups that this Summit will focus on are: people living with poor mental health, people living with a disability and people who are ex-offenders. Through a programme of focus groups, speakers with lived-experience and local expertise, the event aims to create a clear action plan for the VCS to take forward, 'opening doors' and improving access to volunteering opportunities for these groups.

The Volunteering Summit will be preceded by MVA's AGM. During the AGM there will also be the annual presentation to the winner of the Barry Clout Outstanding Contribution to the Medway Voluntary Sector Award 2018.
