Volunteering in Cleaning

Van & Driver

We are currently looking for a van and driver one or two days a week This would be to work alongside CAB delivering food parcels. Days tend to run from 10:00 until around 16:30 – but even half a day would help a lot.

Befriending and visiting children in care

Befrienders for children in care are called independent visitors. The children are aged between 10 and 17 years old and live with foster carers or in residential homes. Independent visitors visit the child once per month to do an activity which you both enjoy. The visits usually take place at a weekend and last around 3 hours. We are currently having socially distanced visits to local venues. For more details please contact the email address below.

Community Shop - Food Aid Project

Need two able-bodied people to help in Community Shop, driver is a bonus, must be able to lift and shift stock for rotation and shelf stacking. Also will need to serve and use till, and be able to use simple maths.

Telephone Befriender Volunteer

Home-Start Medway provides unique services for families with children across Medway who have at least one child under the age of five. We are currently offering a revised service to families during Covid-19 in the form of a telephone befriender service.
