Showcasing artworks made by people with sight impairment, ‘Out of Sight, Not Out of Mind’ is a new exhibition which opened recently at Rochester Art Gallery.
Led by MESS ROOM and the Kent Association for the Blind (KAB), the exhibition is the result of an inspiring initiative that encouraged visually impaired people to express what being sight impaired means to them and how the pandemic has had an impact on their lives through art, working from the comfort of their homes.
The exhibition proudly hosts more than 80 pieces of work from over 40 artists. Visitors are welcomed by a gathering of ‘Mini Me’ sculptures as well as paintings, photographs, sculptures, textiles and wood turned pieces. This ambitious art project has also grown to involve KAB’s additional art groups in Gravesend and Canterbury.
Launched recently this FREE exhibition is taking place at the Rochester Art Gallery, 95 High Street, Rochester till November 14th 2020.
