Trustees Event - FREE for Medway Charities


Medway Voluntary Action (MVA) are hosting a seminar covering priority themes that Trustees are likely to be facing in the wake of Covid-19 – for example: did you know that, since the start of the pandemic, organisational attacks by cyber criminals have spiked by more than 300%? The event is FREE of charge to all MVA members* and is being held online on Monday 17th May from 16.00 to 18.00.

This session will be helpful for all trustees – from experienced through to new – as well as senior managers and we are pleased to announce that we have two outstanding guest speakers for this event:

Susan Robinson (BA FCA MCMI FCIE DChA), Partner, Accounts and Audit and Head of Charities and Not for Profit, with Kreston Reeves. Susan will be talking at this event about Topical Issues in Charity Governance.

Cllr Gloria Opara (MSc IS), Director of Training and Development, Cyber Engineers. Gloria will be talking at this event about Cyber Security Challenges and Mitigations for Charities.

The event will also include an overview of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) from MVA’s GDPR Officer, Dalia Halpern-Matthews.
