Winning Central Government Contracts and the new Social Value Model, winter 202101-Feb-2021
The Government will be hosting seminars aimed at VCSE organisations interested in finding out more about the new Social Value model and the opportunities it brings to them.
By definition, Social Value is “...the positive legacy created through the performance of a contract.” The UK Government recently introduced a new public procurement model that takes greater account of the additional social value created by contractors who are bidding for work.
So, not only does this mean that organisations looking to win Government work have to set out how they will also deliver on the Government's social value priorities, it also means the Government has to make sure that any group looking to win a contract bid must exclusively show resulting social value, where appropriate, as opposed to just considering it.
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport is hosting a series of FREE webinars aimed at VCSE organisations interested in finding out more about the new Social Value model and the opportunities it brings to the sector.
Attendees will also learn more about the Central Government bidding process, including contracts finder, the public procurement review service and consortia bidding.
Already launched, the next dates are on Wednesday 3rd February and 17th March 2021.
