Local Heroes Project

We are currently running our local heroes project on a Tuesday and a Friday. This Project need volunteers to be our local heroes who can help local businesses and organisations with various tasks. Every week could be a different project. We are currently working on All Saints school every Tuesday to improve their playground facilities and Fort Amherst on a Friday to give their volunteers a hand with their landscaping and improvement of the grounds. Grow your Own courses

MAE are looking for volunteers to support their gardening tutors with physical tasks on site at their allotment, as well as at community garden venues across Medway. These groups range from family groups to courses aimed at people living with dementia and other neurological conditions. Some knowledge of gardening is desired, as well as a willingness to learn. The classes are focussed on learning, and are structured with specific outcomes- so this position would suit those who have an interest in education, including getting into teaching assistant roles. Age UK Medway Charity Shop Volunteers

Our Charity Shop in Skinner Street, Gillingham is so much more than a shop it is a bit of a community hub with regular customers coming in for a chat and a bargain or to drop in their own donations. You’ll meet new people and learn new skills as well as having a sense of achievement and fun. We are looking for volunteers who has a sense of community and is good with our customers.

Festival volunteers for Electric Medway

As a festival volunteer, you will be helping to support both online and outdoor events. Street Soccer Holiday Camp Volunteers Needed In Medway

​Kent based charity, the Street Soccer Foundation, are getting ready to provide 5 weeks of football, fun and games and other sporting and creative activities for children across Medway throughout August. Starting on Monday 26th July and running through to Friday 27th August, the Summer Camps will run from 10am to 3pm on each day, Monday to Friday, for boys and girls aged 5 to 15 years of age. They are looking for Volunteers now to cover a range of activities such as delivering activities, creating games, or serving food for the children.
